CAN SLAVERY REPARATIONS EVER DELIVER JUSTICE?
Museum in Docklands and BBC London 94.9 invite you to join this debate commemorating the bicentenary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade act.
It's the hottest ticket in town - guarenteed to provoke heated discussion.
Broadcaster Eddie Nestor will chair this debate entitled 'Can Slavery Reparations Ever Deliver Justice?' at the Museum of Docklands, West India Quay this coming Friday night. The venue has profound historical resonance, built originally as a sugar warehouse to facilitate the transatlantic slave trade.
Among the panelists joining him are Esther Stanford, a lawyer and life-long campaigner for reparations, along with Judith Edwards, an active Conservative and former adviser to Ian Duncan Smith. This is a free event, but spaces are limited.
Reserve your ticket by calling Museum in Docklands on 0870 444 3855. The debate will take place at 7.30pm on Friday 16th February and will be recorded by BBC London 94.9FM for broadcast in Eddie Nestor's show on Sunday 18th February.
