Big People's Theatre
Lorna Blackman is the Managing director of the The Stylisters/Urban short Cuts/Big People's Theatre company which run courses in central and north London. Students have the opportunity to take LAMDA and Drama) examinations and all of her students pass with much success. This is faith, dedication and belief in all her students. Even her eldest student at 80 years succeeded in achieving distinction in the Verse/Prose of the LAMDA examinations. One of her youngest students Trunesh Mellad consecutive distinctions and is currently with the actors casting agency spotlight.
As part of her Masters Degree in Drama last year she organised community drama for the YMCA in Jamaica - an overseas project which she was awarded by Goldsmith College.

Lorna certainly has a good reputation amongst colleagues and students. Lorna recently was awarded by Haringey council the Black Heroes award for her contribution to the community. Lorna also was recently nominated by Haringey Councillors to have the opportunity to attend the Houses of Parliament. At present her community drama courses are currently run at the following three London sites Westminster Kingsway College, West Indian cultural Centre and Northumberland Park. Productions are often held at Hackney empire Studio theatre, London.
Lorna is always full of enthusiasm and zest for life.
