BRAIDS

Celebrating 30 years of Afro Hair

Braiding - a style that owes its origins to the people of South Africa and Africa - is now used to create stunning and complex hairstyles. As styles have become more intricate over time so has the process of braiding, you can use your own hair or add extensions of real or synthetic hair.

Extensions hold your natural hair in place, protecting it from the elements and enabling you to keep the style longer than you would using your own hair – with proper care and maintenance styles can last up to three months. That’s why Sta Sof Fro created a range of hair care just for briads.

CARING FOR BRAIDS

Braiding is a long and expensive process so ensuring the correct treatment and care of braided hair is vital. Sta Sof Fro is the leading brand used to care for braids; producing an excellent range of products to care for scalp and hair. Care of braids is dependant on the thickness of the braid and type of hair used, but most can be washed once a week.

Spray Shampoo with Tea Tree: Shampooing braids is vital to stop both hair and scalp from becoming dry and causing itching and flaking. Braids Spray Shampoo with Tea Tree is specially formulated to cleanse both hair and scalp lifting away dirt and grease without untangling your braids. You must take care when shampooing not to pull or snag braids with your fingernails, as this will cause them to frizz and start to unravel.

Extra Dry Spray: Perfect for both natural and synthetic hair this spray relives any dryness on the scalp, the oils and other ingredients providing the moisture needed, to maintain a healthy head and keeping braids supple to prevent them from untangling.

Hi Sheen Hair Polish Spray: this helps keep braids in tip-top condition; it combats frizziness and nourishes the hair to help prevent breakage. Spray a fine mist to help re- moisturise dry hair and give a healthy sheen.

Braid Food: whilst the hair is braided you need to stimulate the scalp to ensure your hair continues to grow in a strong and healthy fashion. Braiding can sometimes leave the scalp dry and irritated – Braid Food with Tea Tree extracts helps soothe any inflammation. To be used once or twice a week.

Oil Moisturising Spray: this can be used on a daily basis to keep braids soft and supple, whilst helping to protect the scalp against dryness and irritation.

Strengthening Oil Moisturiser Lotion: this strengthening lotion is enriched with Panthenol – to help nourish and condition the hair and help prevent the scalp from drying out. Perfect for natural and synthetic hair. Prices start from £2.49
