WorldFoods Taste of the Caribbean Cuisine Tour and the Caribbean Food & Drink Festival 2010.

Rustie Lee "Original Caribbean Celebrity Chef " and the first lady of Caribbean cuisine supports the "Taste of the Caribbean" UK consumer road show extravaganza.

The evening will commence with a Caribbean rum cocktail reception and will be followed by an array of West Indian style canapés prepared by Award wining, Head Chef of the UK's acclaimed Ottolenghi restaurant Tricia Jadoonanan and Chef Hassan DeFour from TV's 'Rhodes Across the Caribbean'. 30 Date Caribbean Cuisine Tour

This launch is the first staging post for the 30 date WorldFoods Caribbean Cuisine Tour 2010 which kicks off on Friday 28 May at Sainsbury's, Southend Lane in Sydenham from noon. The tour consists of live demonstrations featuring the wonders of West Indian home-style cooking, from WorldFoods mobile kitchen at the UK's four leading supermarkets stores, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons including independent outlets.

Chef's on tour

Rustie Lee will join fellow UK Caribbean Chef Hassan DeFour (BBC's Rhodes Across the Caribbean), Chef Gary Tomlin (ITV's Hell's Kitchen) and Chef Colin Brown (Chef to the stars), who will provide informative cookery demonstrations using popular Caribbean brands. The audience will also be treated to tasty product samples and a free recipe guide publication.

Caribbean Food & Drink Festival

The WorldFoods Caribbean Cuisine Tour will close with an exciting Food and Drink Festival, to be held at the Islington Business & Design Centre on Saturday 21 August. This provides a finale vehicle, showcasing and sampling the best of all things Caribbean.

WorldFoods is devoted to promoting and showcasing the best of Caribbean food and drink brands. This year there is an established list of sponsors including imported brands; Grace, Tiger Malt, Wibisco, Walkerswood.
