Next Carnival: Jan - Feb 18th 2007
Carnival in Aruba means weeks of events that bring you brightly coloured floats, throbbing music, costumed 'Mas' players ofall ages, King & Queen elections, jump ups and torch light parades that wind their way through the streets at night, and finally Jouvert morning. This is one serious party, a two month long celebration concluding with the all-day Grand Parade on Sunday. The Grand Carnival Parade always falls on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday.
Here you will find Antillean "tumba" music, calypso and steel bands, the Salsa and marching bands all mixed together, during this 2 month celebration. The costumes are bright and bold and reflect the Carnival community that exists there, so book early.
