JAMAICAN TWIST 2010
'Ackee and Saltfish' was the theme of this year's carnival band, with costumed performers illustrating one of Jamaica's favourite dishes. The Carnival King wore a spectacular Saltfish costume in shimmering blue, surrounded by dozens of female dancers in gold Ackee costumes. .

NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL 2010
The Notting Hill Carnival, is held every August Bank Holiday, on the Sunday and Monday of the last weekend in August and was, until a couple of years ago, officially the biggest street party in Europe.

Panorama the UK's national steel band competition has been the precursor to the Notting Hill carnival for over 30 years, and annual highlight of the UK Steel Pan music scene.

SALSA WORD RECORD
London Salsa/Carnaval Del Pueblo, the organisers of Carnaval del Pueblo are working together to attempt to beat the Guinness World Salsa record on August 1st in Burgess Park.

CARNIVAL COSTUME SPLASH
MP Diane Abbot has been invited to officially open the Carnival 2010 Grand Carnival Splash on the 28th of July, is a celebration of the Kings and Queen's Competition and the Children's Mas Bands Competition, held every year over weekend celebrations at Alexandra Palace.

ISIS MAS JAB JAB
Jab Jab Jouvert interactive workshops starts on Friday 6th, 13th and 20th August, come and learn about Jouvert mas and create your own individual mas for Notting Hill Jouvert. This is the first workshop of its kind, so come, have fun, learn and create!!

NURSERY CARNIVAL
Hundreds of children from across the capital are expected to gather at this year's Notting Hill Nursery Carnival, on Monday 9 August 2010. The theme for 2010 is 'Fruit Fest'
