The Real Mccoy Has Reconnected
Dual Impact Productions, an entertainment production company, has successfully reconnected five original cast members of the UK's first ever black tv comedy sketch show.
More than 13 years since the Real McCoy last aired on the BBC, Llewella Gideon, Leo Muhammed, Felix Dexter, Maureen Hibbert and Judith Jacob, bring to the stage a live comedy sketch show called 'The Real Mccoy Reconnected'. Helping them along the way to create fun, laughter and mayhem will be Tameka Empson (Three Non Blondes) and up and coming new talent, Donna Spence And Mr Cee.
The show will feature some favourite characters, brand new live comedy sketches, musical comedy, character comedy and stand-up and is directed by Trix Worrell (creator and writer of Desmonds).
The last tv screening of the Real McCoy may have been in 1996 but, its popularity amongst its loyal fans, has never waned. Thirteen years on a new generation of fans are watching clips of the show on the internet and demanding its return. The Real Mccoy Reconnected, a live theatre comedy sketch show, is in response to those demands.
