BUSINESS

The Director of the Black Londoner Forum which aims to influence the decision-making at all levels of London Governance and also to highlight issues that affect the BAME communities.

Errol Walters

Errol Walters is a man driven by his convictions and believes that equality and fair play should be experienced by the less fortunate in society. His drive and vision is for a level playing field to be made available to all, no matter what the background or social status is.
Errol Walters
Born in Hammersmith, London England he migrated to Jamaica at the age of 7 and returned to the UK over 17 years ago. Errol is a past student of the Jamaica College and CAST (College of Arts Science and Technology), gaining a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. A Management Accountant by profession, Errol worked in the brewing industry as a Senior Cost Accountant for 15 years and then did a stint with a commodity broking firm as a Financial Controller in the city.

With the 'philanthropist urges' coursing through his veins, Errol has immersed himself into activities through his various engagements and commitments with different organisations within London and the Caribbean communities in the UK. He is a member of the Jamaican Diaspora and also the co-founder of the Greenwich Town Methodist Church Community Project - a charity in the constituency of the Current Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller. Errol also advises on a number of governmental bodies in London - The London Equalities Commission, The LDA EMERGE Board, and The Government of London BME Religious Faith Advisory Group. He also chairs Brixton Base Ltd., a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing free training and personal development programmes to young London BAMEs through creative arts and media.

Now the Director of the Black Londoner Forum; an organisation that represents the Black and Minority Ethnic communities in London and aims to influence the decision-making at all levels of London Governance and also to highlight issues that affect the BAME communities, Errol is optimistic about the difference that can be made in giving a voice to Black Londoners.

Errol has 3 children and spends his pastime watching athletics, football and cricket. However, his main interest lies in politics, both UK and Jamaican, and is keen on becoming involved in government in either country.
