La Fête Afrikan Night M3NSA Charlie Wrights

On Saturday 21st April, M3NSA - MOBO nominated MC, singer and producer and one half of the Ghanaian duo FOKN Bois - returns to London for a unique performance at the renowned Charlie Wrights International in Old Street.

Over recent years M3NSA has built himself a rock solid reputation as a master lyricist and an engaging performer, after touring internationally at The Norient Musikfilm Festival (Switzerland), The Shrine (New York), Asaabako Festival(Ghana) and rocking the stage with Damon Albarn, Tony Allen and Amadou and Mariam at the Africa Express events in France and Spain. He has also worked on legendary North London producer DJ Richy Pitch's Ghana-inspired Ye Fre Mi Richy Pitch LP and opened shows for Wu-Tang Clan, The Roots, Little Brother and The Gorillaz.

M3NSA will be performing songs from his cracking debut album No.1 Mango Street, with influences from Nu-jazz through to Afrobeat and High-Life. His razor sharp lyrical talents are hard to match and together with his flair for fun and authenticity, this performance is set to raise the roof. Support from Mr Hagan and Ryan Ansah on guitar.

Focus Dj's also featuring on the night will be playing the best of both traditional and contemporary African music:

Bogossy Freshfrenchy With his weekly show on Playvybz Radio and recent features on Choice FM, Bogossy has quickly built a name for himself on the London night scene. Mixing up a ground-breaking selection of African and urban beats, from Zouglou to Afro-tech, you won't be standing still for long when Bogossy gets on the decks.

Oya Bun Focus Dj Oya Bun was born and raised in the Ivory Coast and later moved to Paris. His musical taste has been heavily influenced by both African tradition and the emerging sounds of the African diaspora. His sets incorporate Soukous, Kuduro, Kwaito, with a special focus on Coupe' Decale'.
