Aphrodisiac (af´ re dee´ zee ak´)
-n. A drug or food that stimulates sexual desire

Candle light and soft music, a romantic dinner can put you in the mood for love, not just for of the intimate atmosphere created. Food and sex have been linked together for centuries, and are ultimately both necesary for the survival of the human race. There are many of different types of foods and spices, that have at one time or another been considered to be an aphrodisiac.
Today, research confirms that our most traditionally popular edible aphrodisiacs do in fact contain vitamins and minerals that contribute to a healthy reproductive system and in turn a healthy libido.

Oysters
The Classic Aphrodisiac - When most people think of food and sex, they think of oysters. Oysters were documented by the Romans as far back as the 2nd Century AD, as an aphrodisiac Other than there suggestive appearance oysters have other qualities for lovers. Whilst they are low in fat, they are high in protein, and Zinc, the latter being important boosting sex drive and stamina.

Oyster Martinis with Caviar
Ingredients
( 1/4 cup) finely minced shallots
(3 tbsp) chopped chives
(1/3 cup) champagne vinegar
(2 tbsp) cracked black pepper
35-40 oysters in the shell
Crushed ice
60 g of caviar
Instructions
Mix together the vinegar,shallots, chives and pepper to make a mignonette sauce. Detatch muscle from shell leaving it in the bottom half of the shell, and place the shells on a bed of crushed ice and spoon the mignonette sauce into each shell, finishing with a small scoop of caviar.
Chilli Pepper
Feelin' Hot Hot Hot and fiery! As well as spicing up your favourite dish, chillis increase and improve circulation, and lead to increased perspiration.

One small scotch bonnet
one bottle of white rum/vodka/etc Instructions
This one need a bit of forethought. Take your favourite clear alcohol, vodka, rum, etc, and chop the scotch bonnet in half and add to the full bottle. Let it infuse for at least a week. On the night, serve in chilled shot glasses, and drink!
Asparagus
This erotic vegetable is full of vitamin E, and has been served an an aphrodisiac for centuries. Share a plate, steamed or boiled, and seductively drizzled with butter, olive oil or a hollandaise sauce.

Butter
salt and pepper
Instructions
So simple, so delicious, so sexy! Just steam the asaparagus for a few minutes, smother lovingly with butter, amd add salt and pepper. Eat seductively
Chocolate
An all time favourite, traditional gift of love, treasured for its feel gound luscious qualities. Let he aroma of melting chocolate fill the air, indulge and worry about the calories later.

3-5 Bars of high quality chocolate
1 pot Double Cream
Instructions
Melt slowly in a glass bowl sitting in hot water, once melted add the cream. If you desire, you can add extra natural flavours, by grating cinamon, nutmeg, or orange zest. Serve in a big bowl, and smother chopped fruit (or your partner) with it before eating.
Caviar
Caviar is a luxury and an aphrodisiac, eggs are a symbol of fertility, and packed with zinc. Beluga is the best (and most expensive) caviar, and best enjoyed by the spoonful with well chilled vodka or champagne.

Instructions
The straight up, caviar experience. Untouched, unadultered washed down with ice cold champagne. (Remember caviar should not be eaten with metal, so get a wooden, or mother of pearl spoon)
