From the age of 15
Governor Shine has been involved with PA/Sound System operation and working as a MC/Entertainer, Disc Jockey and Promoter in Jamaica and eventually England. At the age of 27, in order to develop his music skills and business ideas, he started working for Jack Ruby, Manager and Executive Producer of Fox Records in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Their shared musical interest, led him to more offers, giving Governor Shine a greater knowledge of the music industry. During this time he started training as a sound engineer and developed song writing, rhythm production and record producing skills.
In April 1989
Governor Shine travelled to England. There he worked for Freedom Sound System of Luton (with the now Prince Malachi), from July 1989 to October 1990. Then he began pursuing his career as a Record Producer & Promoter, in both England and Jamaica. Being offered a position in January 1991 with Roof International Records as Assistant Producer, Song Writer, Assistant Road Manager and Promoter, he returned to Jamaica and worked there until July 1994.
In August 1994 he returned to England and resumed working on making contacts within the industry and began building his sound system "OVERDOSE Hi-Power" upon seeing the need of
cultural reggae in-a rub-a-dub style & the art of DJ's working live in the dancehall. In 1997 he enrolled at Westminster City College where he upgraded his sound engineering skills and achieve a City and Guilds Certificate with distinction.
He contributed as much of his time possible voluntarily at Jet Star's "CAVE" recording studios enhancing his sound engineering and production skills. Based upon his experiences within the industry he knew it was only right to form the company, Wadadda Muzik Ltd.

Currently he is working with established artists like Prezident Brown, Professor Frisky, U-Brown, John Junior, Admiral Tibet and Alpha Rowen. "It's a hard and risky position to be in as an innovative producer because record companies don't like to associate themselves with unknown artistes. But as I always say and still believe that, everyone has to start somewhere and every journey has to begin with the first step, so I keep working for the better days. See, right now Mr. Perfect has stepped out there! Who knows, who will be next!"
