ABOUT GRENADA: Grenada lies 100 miles north of Venezuela, and is lush, green with volcanic mountains. The island is covered with fragrant nutmeg trees, the scent of exotic flowers. It is knwon as the 'spice island' due the islands nutmeg exports. This is the eco tourist's paradise with rivers and waterfalls, lush rainforests, sulphur springs and lakes. Its centuries-old spice plantations and rum distilleries still use traditional methods. St Georges is a busy, vibrant market town, home to the picturesque Carenage harbour.
