Following the fourth Hackneycentric 'farmers market of culture', the Spice Festival, the Hackney Empire welcomes back the much loved Angie Le Mar with her brand new offering Forty, starring Angie as well as top notch cast and creative team. This is followed by the Royal Court and ATC's Olivier Award winning Gone Too Far! by Bola Agbaje, a 'joyous, irreverent energy and a fresh, winning playfulness' (The Times). Also watch out for the return of Harmony Productions with Oliver Samuels and Audrey Reid heading the cast of Jamaican comedy drama Guava Jelly.

Looking forward into February 2009 we welcome back the Royal Shakespeare Company with Othello. As with this year's Noughts and Crosses this show is sure to sell out so early booking is advised. The Studio Theatre has an uber cool programme over the coming months including the return of Angie Le Mar's Do You Know Where Your Daughter Is? and Judd Batchelor's A Mother Speaks.
