Freelance Hair and Beauty Federation (FHBF)
The Freelance Hair & Beauty Federation is the organisation that supports self-employed, professional hairdressers and beauty therapists. It provides low cost training, group meetings as well as advice for new and start-up businesses. Patrick Cameron has this advice "When working solo it's sometimes hard to stay motivated and inspired. Guild of Hairdressing
The Guild of Hairdressers was established in 1882 with the main objectives of : - Promoting and protecting hairdressers - Improving knowledge and technical skills of hairdressers by providing a National Diploma of Hairdressing - an all day examination .which tests their knowledge of the practice and theory of hairdressing. It is recognized both in Britain and throughout Europe. NDH is an accepted qualification for Registration with the Hairdressing Training Board The Guild has representation on other industry bodies.

Fellowship for British Hairdressers (F.B.H.)
Founded in 1946 as The Fellowship of Hair Artists of Great Britain, this was originally a small and elite association, designed to promote artistic hairdressing with a focus on hairdressing competitions. Over the years the Fellowship has gained international recognition through its focus on classic skills training. The 1980/90’s saw a modern image and role emerge with a focus on creativity and training of the finest talent in the industry. Current members include a “Who’s Who” of hairdressing. The Fellowship has an ever-expanding membership and events calendar with the same motto – “Strength Through Quality”.

Hair and Beauty Benevolent (HABB)
The Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB) is the official industry charity, dedicated to helping hair and beauty professionals facing difficulties in life. Since 1853, HABB has offered financial support and funding to individuals and their families facing illness, bereavement or financial hardship. Without your support, HABB would not be able to help all the people they do each year. To help, all you have to do is get involved. Whether that is by becoming a member, organising your own fundraising events or attending our fundraising events, doesn’t really matter.
