The HBSA is a network of industry professionals that provide a voice for the industry, sharing knowledge and offering support where it’s needed
Founded in 1946 as The Fellowship of Hair Artists of Great Britain, this was originally a small and elite association, designed to promote artistic hairdressing with a focus on hairdressing competitions. Over the years the Fellowship has gained international recognition through its focus on classic skills training. The 1980/90’s saw a modern image and role emerge with a focus on creativity and training of the finest talent in the industry. Current members include a “Who’s Who” of hairdressing. The Fellowship has an ever-expanding membership and events calendar with the same motto – “Strength Through Quality”.
The Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB) is the official industry charity, dedicated to helping hair and beauty professionals facing difficulties in life. Since 1853, HABB has offered financial support and funding to individuals and their families facing illness, bereavement or financial hardship.
Without your support, HABB would not be able to help all the people they do each year. To help, all you have to do is get involved. Whether that is by becoming a member, organising your own fundraising events or attending our fundraising events, doesn’t really matter.
