HAIR EXTENSIONS

Extensions? The choice is yours. Braids, blonde, cornrows, full length, synthetic, human, fat braids, thin braids, natural colour? Women all over the world, and in all cultures, have constantly experimented with different styles and treatments. Since ancient Egypt both women and men have worn wigs or hair pieces.

Black hair has had its own history from repressed to Afro-centric. Today hair has taken over, and there is an overwhelming array of styles available. Just walk down any high street and you will see both men and women in a multitude of styles, extensions, intricate braiding, shaved designs, wigs and head wraps.

Whether you are looking for Nubian Earth Mother or Urban Diva, Dreadlocks or Blonde extensions, you’ll find it. Extensions are perfect for that instant fuller effect, or simply a complete change of colour or length.

There are two kinds of hair for extensions, synthetic and human. Human hair is good for a more natural look, but is more expensive than synthetic hair. Extensions can be worn on average from six to eight weeks. This depends on how well they are looked after. Having your extensions tightened is essential for that well groomed look.

Braids are always a good option when you're bored of your hair, but don't want anything permanent, if you are growing out your hair and are at that in between stage. There are so many styles, regular braids, cornrows, dread extensions, in any colour length or size.
