Jean Otalor is multi-talented journalist, who as well as contributing to itzcaribbean.com, writes for
G Mag, Big Boss and Thesituation.co.uk. She also works at the BBC, and has made a documentary for Radio 1 and 1Xtra called Life Swap, that has been entered in for a Sony award.

Her career started at Parkside hospital radio in 2000, where she presented a weekly radio show. From there she moved to a popular local radio station called Cruise FM, under her alias Lady J. A move to Juice FM saw her interview UK up-and-coming artists from the UK and US.
Being a presenter on such highly respected stations built up her name, she started to get requests to present talent shows, and showcases in front of, at times, 4,000 people.
She soon started presenting on Youth Culture TV (YCTV), shows included the Cosmopolitan Fashion Show, Afro Hair and Beauty Show, Urban Voices and MOBO Unsigned. Jean’s catalogue of famous interviewees boast Bow Wow, Ms Dynamite, So Solid Crew, Raheem DeVaughn, Richard Blackwood, Jazzy Jeff , Troy Titus-Adams (Nina from EastEnders) and Mis-Teeq.
In 2003, Jean landed her own show, for a month on 1xtra BBC radio.
