The Surgery is back for 2010!
Hosted by Jonzi D, The Surgery is a regular showcase of new Hip Hop Theatre work.
The Surgery is a platform for emerging and established artists to present new Hip Hop theatre work in a professional theatre space. The unique aspect of the evening is the breaking down of the 'fourth wall' where there is an opportunity after each piece to take questions and comments from the audience.
Following the huge success of The Surgery in March, Jonzi D Productions is back at the Albany with another heavy line-up of emcees, dancers, beatmakers and beatboxers performing brand new Hip Hop theatre work.
Hosted by Jonzi D, The Surgery is a regular platform for emerging and established Hip Hop artists to share new ideas and pieces and give the audience a chance to comment and question them. We host a series of Hip Hop Theatre Lab workshops in the week leading up to the show to give artists the chance to work together and get creative.
