The Mahogany Bridal Show is the
largest and only bridal exhibition for African Caribbean brides and grooms in Europe. The event is now in its 12th year and has grown from strength to strength. This year the show will attract even more exhibitors and visitors than ever before and is moving to the prestigious Barbican Exhibition Centre.
Each year the
Mahogany Bridal Show strives to be creative and innovative in the services it provides to both the exhibitors and visitors to the show as well as trying to meet a social conscience, by making it affordable to exhibit at the show and thus attracting all types of wedding businesses to the show. For the first time the show will feature the "Market Place" area which is an area within the exhibition centre that allows exhibitors to exhibit at a very affordable price thus enabling new start-up or very small businesses to exhibit and provide visitors with refreshingly new ideas for their wedding.
The
Mahogany Bridal Show will have everything a bride needs for her wedding under one roof, whether it be a chocolate or champagne fountain to make their wedding unique, or a top photographer, Videographer or caterer, right down to hiring the wedding car of their dreams, they can all be found at the show. There will be two fantastic fashion shows featuring top couture designers and some of the top high street wedding dress shops as well as a number of accessory companies feature a variety of unique accessories to make the wedding day special.
The
UK's wedding market is one of the most affluent and fastest growing industries in the UK. An estimated 250,000 weddings will take place in the UK this year with couples spending an average of £17,739 on the 'big day'.
Black brides are expected to spend an average of £2,500 on their wedding dress against a national average of £921.
Chief Executive
Sola Oyebade of the Mahogany Group says; "visitors to the show have a great day out bringing the whole family to enjoy the fashion shows, obtain lots of goodies and receive some great discounts, it has become the event not to be missed"
