Her single "Alone" was on the Billboard charts for 32 consecutive weeks. Earlier this year, Malina opened a show for R Kelly. In addition, she has collaborated with George Clinton, Prince, Bones Thugs n Harmony, and N*Sync Her trademark style is to flip her Fender Stratocaster upside down as she is a left handed guitarist.
Malina Moye, the size zero singer and model, has spoken out forcefully on the hot topic of skinny models as role models.
The issue recently came to light when the Madrid Fashion Week organisers banned ultra-slim girls with a Body Mass Index of 18 or less from walking on the catwalk.

Speaking on the eve of her first press tour of the UK to promote her single "Alone", the 24 year old Los Angeles-based entertainer, who has worked with R Kelly and Prince, said, "The fashion business is notorious for promoting an image of skinniness as the ideal look. I can't stand the fact that they then act all innocent when they get criticised for promoting an unhealthy lifestyle."
"Living in LA, you can see the effects of this kind of unhealthy image as people compete to be as skinny as possible, and if they can't do it with effort, they'll do it by paying their surgeon." Malina added.
Commenting on her own figure, which has earned her shoots with labels such as Rock and Republic and Deborah Lindquist, Miss Moye went on, "I'm a size zero, but it's as a result of genetics and high metabolism, not starving myself. I dance and train every day, so I'm able to burn off all the cheesecake I eat! What I'd say to anyone wanting to copy skinny girls is don't, there's no advantage and you'll do yourself more harm than good."
