1st place Ms Uchenna Obika
This years Miss Caribbean Commonwealth beauty pageant took place at The Theatre of the Polish Centre, King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 on Thursday 26th April 2007. Itzcaribbean.com represented by sitting on the Judging panel.
Caribbean ladies we didn’t fare very well at this year. Sitting on the judging panel, I was disheartened to see only one contestant from the Caribbean islands.
19 girls took place in total and besides one entry from the island of St Lucia, all 18 others were from the African continent.
The title was won this year by Uchenna Obika (19) from Nigeria, whose prize includes a trip to Ghana courtesy of Ghana Tours.
There were performances by Zita K, Ice T Cool, Angel J, United Christian Harmony Group.
The event was coordinated by Clayton Goodwin who has hosted this event for many years, he is very dedicated to this pageant and plans to continue well into the future.
