Roots to Reckoning

The Photography of Armet Francis, Neil Kenlock and Charlie Phillips runs from 1st October 2005 - 26 February 2006

Photographs by Jamaican-born Londoners, Armet Francis, Neil Kenlock and Charlie Phillips, bear witness to the story of London's black communities from the 1960s to today.

A free exhibition of over 100 images captures a period of profound change as a new generation explored their identity as black Londoners. See iconic events, from Black Panther demonstrations to Bob Marley's visits to Britain. Admire portraits of international stars, such as Muhammad Ali and Peter Tosh, alongside scenes of everyday life in London, from the streets of Brixton to the pubs of Notting Hill.
Exhibition events Please pre-book these events by calling the box office on 0870 444 3850.
