Nevis, just a short ferry ride from St Kitts, a tiny circular island dwarfed by the 3300 foot high extinct volcano with tropical rain forests and white and golden sand beaches.
The island has several beaches that stretch for miles almost undisturbed, the longest, Pinney's Beach home to the Four Season's Resort. The windward side has an amazing and mostly deserted beach popular with body surfers. Oualie Beach is the centre for windsurfing, diving and snorkeling with trips to the nearby coral reefs and exotic dive sites.
Whilst the island is ideal for eco tourists, with the Botanical Garden with cascading pools and examples of tropical plants from all over the world, there is fun for the kids, with Caribbean Cove, a theme park with miniature golf complete with pirate ships, real smoke and jungle waterfalls. Other activities available are tennis, golf (at the Four Seasons) horse riding, and water sports.
