The August Bank Holiday 2010, will be the 46th Notting Hill Carnival. Join Carnival celebrations, and don't miss Panorama, the Calypso Tent and other Carnival events. Starting in July, Carnival is a season of activities that celebrate the five carnival art disciplines; masquerade bands, steel bands, calypso music, static and mobile sound systems.

Steelbands participate in a procession to mark the official opening of the 2009 Notting Hill Carnival. Revellers daub paint and mud on themselves as a traditional way of driving away demons.

Carnival Monday is one of Europe largest street events. The UK's leading Steel bands, Mas bands, Soca on the Move Sound Systems make up the parade.
