Next Carnival: May Bank Holiday Monday 26th May 2008

2008 will be the The 31st Annual Carnival.
Bank holiday's Reading Community Carnival showcases carnival culture, with the sounds of soca, calypso as well as Reading All Steel Percussion Orchestra. Take part in the Carnival King or Queen competition, or just enjoy the costumes and atmosphere. The Carnival King and Queen will be selected at the Carnival Dance on Saturday 24th May 2008.

The procession will be through the streets of West Reading, starting and ending in Prospect Park. Watch it along its route as it winds its way along Tilehurst Road, Russell Street, Oxford Road, Grovelands Road and Water Road.

Events start from around 12:30 p.m. and will go on until around 7:00 p.m. There will be stalls selling a variety of food and drink, as well as others of general and community interest
