I had the pleasure of attending the
Rougz Hair and Beauty party recently. Owned by Marcia Johnson a stylist renowned for her skills in colouring and cutting, Rougz celebrated its first year in business and the accolades acquired throughout this first year.
Marcia left no stone unturned at this event. Her attention to detail as a business woman and host can be an example to many. The salon was exquisitely adorned. Decorations had been custom made and she had beautiful gift bags ready to present to valued clients and those who had assisted her throughout this first year.
Marcia made a speech in which she told us about the joys and difficulties of her first year of going it alone. The team at itzcaribbean.com met up with Marcia at one of those difficult times and I'm happy to report that our meeting has proven to be a fruitful one on both sides.
I was proud to listen to comments from clients (who discovered Rougz through itzcaribbean.com I might add!). They talked about the enjoyable experience their hair had undergone at the hands of Marcia. One particular client who regularly travels from Nottingham to have her hair done told me "this is the first time after having my hair done that I have not rushed to a mirror to fix up my hair after leaving a salon. I don’t want to touch it at all and when I see people in my home town just looking at my hair I wish they would ask me where I got it done."
