South Connections started off as a voluntary organisation in 1985 at the Oval House in South London. (South Connections is for South London and South Trinidad).
Many of the original movers and shakers are still with the organisation. Annually we produce prize winning costume bands to go to Notting Hill Carnival.
We support other organisations (Myatts Fields Junkeno & Peckham Carnival) teach in schools (Tippet, Reay, Henry Fawcett and Loughborough Infants amongst others) and offer all sorts of participatory opportunities and training opportunities throughout the year and during the Carnival making season.
South Connections is now a registered charity.
