Girl Group Stooshe are set to crash into the charts for a second time when they release the single 'Black Heart' in June on Warner Bros. Records
Fresh from scoring a Top 5 hit with their breakthrough single 'Love Me', the boisterous, mischievous, outgoing and witty trio Stooshe are set to crash into the charts for a second time when they release the single 'Black Heart' on June 11th on Warner Bros. Records.
Produced by pop curators Future Cut (Lily Allen, Olly Murs, Professor Green), 'Black Heart' highlights Stooshe's pinpoint, Motown-inspired vocal harmonies to create the trio's most immediate pop song to date. Stooshe collaborated with Future Cut, Jo Perry and former All Saint Shaznay Lewis to create 'Black Heart', which will feature on their upcoming debut album 'Swings and Roundabouts' that will be released later this year.
Stooshe followed the success of 'Love Me' by playing their first headline shows at London's Proud Cabaret venue to a unanimously positive response.
The Evening Standard's review concluded
"their star status couldn't be more obvious if Sir Patrick Moore had discovered them through a telescope" while The Daily Star stated,
"the girls captivated from the off. Incredible vocal harmonies were perfectly executed, while the fact they appear to be having so much fun makes you want to be in their gang."
Stooshe's online profile continues to grow with over 2.5 million views split between their YouTube site and special sessions recorded for iD, SBTV, MTV and Virgin, while positive press coverage has come from a diverse array of publications including The Independent, The Daily Star, RWD, The Mirror and Top of the Pops. They started the year by being longlisted for the BBC's Sound of 2012.
Stooshe are three brilliantly distinct personalities, as attainable as they are aspirational. Doing away with outdated ideas, when it comes to who they are and the music they make, Stooshe are determinedly deconstructing stereotypes. Packed full of provocative, punchy wordplay, cutting-edge choruses and three incredible vocals, their sound is as bold as it is edgy. Filling a huge gap in the girl band market, Stooshe deliver a '90s sensibility with a futuristic sound.
