The Sunshine Foundation
The Sunshine Foundation was set up in 2004 to support the
St Andrews's School for Special Education in Grenville, St Andrew's Grenada. The aim is to raise funds and collect donations of educational materials and furnishings for the school, which receives very little by way of Goverment funding and so relies heavily on donations from local businesses and the generosity of visitors to the Island.
The school has approximately 66 pupils betweenthe ages of 2-21 years with a range of disabilities, which include Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and the Hearing Impaired.
" The Sunshine Foundation for Children with Special Needs believes that all children can shine. We value the right for every child to have a quality of life and education that enables them to reach their potential academically, emotionally and socially."
