Caribbean Hurricane Season

The official Caribbean hurricane season runs each year from the 1st June to 30th November.

The Caribbean best known for sunshine and perfect holiday conditions, but it is always best to check out the weather conditions when travelling.

Many holiday makers travel to the Caribbean from November to May avoiding the hurricane season altogether. If you decide to travel during Hurricane Season, there are some benefits to be had. It is low season so there will be more discounts and special offers available. Generally there will be less tourists so you will have the beaches to yourself.

While hurricanes are expected during the season – they don’t happen every year, but just in case, make sure you pack sensibly with trainers and waterproof bags and take some time to get the correct travel insurance.

Generally the Dutch Caribbean islands Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao are the least affected by hurricanes.
