Jamaica Travel   ST EUSTATIUS TRAVEL
ABOUT ST EUSTATIUS: St. Eustatius, sometimes known as Statia, is a quiet small island popular with eco tourists and divers seeking with the many undisturbed dive sites. Hikers and nature lovers can enjoy the abundance of natural resources available on the island. One of the main attractions is The Quill, a 1940 foot extinct volcano. It provides a variety of tropical plants and flowers, 54 species of birds all tucked within a lush rainforest. Hiking trails take you on exhilarating hikes with incredible views of neighboring islands of St. Kitts, Nevis, Saba and St. Maarten.
There are small and medium sized inns and guesthouses, many dive and eco-related, offering affordable accommodation and friendly service. For nature lovers, hikers and divers, St. Eustatius continues to be the best kept secret of the Caribbean.
The island is peaceful and relaxing if your looking for a bustling nightlife your not going to get it, other than live bands playing at the hotels. The island does come alive every year in July and early August, for carnival visitors go to soak up the culture, food, and people.
