A Great Day, photoshoot
Renaissance one in association with decibel and the British Library is celebrating ‘A Great Day, a photoshoot inspired by the momentous photo “A Great Day In Harlem”.
The photoshoot has been initiated by Melanie Abrahams and commissioned by decibel, the Arts Council England programme promoting cultural diversity in the arts, in partnership with renaissance one and the British Library, and forms part of decibel’s literature strand.
The gathering will be a ‘who’s who’ of contemporary literature – fifty outstanding writers, movers and shakers who have helped to define contemporary British writing – and will be the first time writers of this magnitude have been brought together on one platform.
It is decibel and renaissance one’s aim that the picture will document a defining moment in contemporary literature.
