CB Legacy Scholarship Scheme

The Caribbean Board are delighted to announce that the Amos Bursary are recipients of a Legacy Scholarship Award of £ 3,000.00 to provide Bursary students with opportunities to develop new skills and work experience within the private sector.

Supt. Leroy Logan MBE, Chair, The Caribbean Board stated “We are pleased to make this CB Legacy Scholarship award to Amos Bursary to support the advancement of outstanding young men of African and Caribbean descent “.

Baroness Amos, who was on a short visit to the UK said “We are delighted to receive this award, it will make a difference to the support provided to our most talented students “.

The Caribbean Board provided advice to UK Government between 2002 – 2010, on building relationships between the Diaspora and the region.

The Amos Bursary was set up in 2009 to help British born, state educated, African Caribbean boys access professional careers. Every year, The Amos Bursary selects outstanding Boys of African Caribbean heritage from Inner City schools in London. These students have been identified with the ability and aptitude to pursue professional careers, but have personal, economic or social factors which could act as a barrier to their academic success.
