Celebration Of Life Concert 2012

The Metropolitan Black Police Association Presents Celebration Of Life Concert 2012.

The Metropolitan Black Police Association is once again proud to present its annual ‘Celebration Of Life Concert’, bringing together some of the finest names in contemporary music for a night of fantastic entertainment.

Following a storming sold-out show at the Barbican earlier in the year, Naturally 7 are back playing the Royal Festival Hall this autumn, headlining the Metropolitan Black Police Association’s ‘Celebration of Life’ concert. Seven guys with extraordinary talents, they take close-harmony style to stratospheric new heights by producing the full sound of a band using only their voices.

Mixing beat boxing, basslines and uncanny instrumental imitation with rap and hook-laden soul, pop and jazz, Brian Eno has called their unrivalled live show ‘one of the must see performances of all time’.

Bursting with talent, the evening also features saxophonist Jason Yarde, reggae singer Peter Hunnigale, hip-hop artist Donae’o and British singer Ayanna alongside the Lifeforce Band, whilst veteran host Curtis Walker returns.

This concert highlights the MetBPA’s ‘Revival’ initiative, which works directly with London communities to address and reduce violent crime, particularly amongst young people. A brilliantly entertaining and varied event that unites music, performance and comedy, with a message that celebrates life and promotes peace in the capital, it guarantees a lively and fun-packed evening for all ages and audiences.
