What Makes A Creative Mind These Days Fashion Profile: Lee-Anne Weise
What actually constitutes as a creative mind in the fashion world these days?. I seem to only come across clones and followers of high end fashion and semi glossy periodicals. I tend to be drawn to designers , stylists and individuals that go against the grain.
The special few that would be less likely to adorn the same garments that have graced the backs of all the celebrities in Hollywood. ORIGINALITY, Is this so much to ask?
Just when I thought my requests had gone unanswered I stumbled across a new fresh creative mind for the fashion world to embrace.
I had the opportunity to sit down with this entrepreneur at the Bedroom Bar located Shoreditch. Sipping cranberry cocktails, we discussed her future in a world where the almighty cloth can make you or break you ,and how we as consumers can get a piece of the pie. Coming from a Trinidadian, Cuban and Jamaican background Lee- Anne informs me that she is here to make her mark on the UK world of fashion..
Lee-Anne Weise emerging freelance fashion designer, illustrator and fashion stylist, who at the age of 15, entered and won the Young Designer of the Year award at the Design and Business Centre in Islington, and has not looked back.
With a degree in fashion with business specializing in Graphics, Lee-Anne is now realising her ambition of working in the fashion industry. It was while studying Lee-Anne remembers she found that even though she loved designing she also had a passion for Illustration, and Styling. Post- school she has styled fashion shoots for publications such as Pride Magazine and various Catwalk shows.
Lee-Anne has most recently set up he own website showcasing her work and offering her services. Lee-Anne’s style icons are designers include Alexander McQueen and John Galliano
