The Strickly Roots Jamaica 50 Festival is being held from 3rd – 5th August 2012 at the Vale of Glamorgan Waterfront location. This family fun filled experience in true Jamaican style will give you an opportunity to sample some of Jamaica’s delights and if the sun indulges us with its presence you will think that you are in JAMAICA.

The beautiful coastal region of the Vale of Glamorgan will begin its Celebration of Jamaica’s 50th Anniversary of Independence from the UK on 29th July 2012 at Barry’s prestigious Memorial Hall.

There will be food, such as Jerk Chicken, Roast Fish, Roast Breadfruit, Roast Yam and Sweet Corn to name but a few. All roasted and barbequed in traditional Jerk Pans. Get a taste of Jamaica exotic fruits such as Pineapple and Naseberries all freshly available, now wash that down with beverages both alcoholic and non alcoholic from the Island of Jamaica. Music, Comedy, Arts, Dance, Culture close your eyes and your there.

There will be stalls selling souvenirs, gifts and offering alternative therapies. There will be psychics, readers and those with acclaimed healing hands. We will have hairdressers and cosmetologists offering the latest in Jamaican styles.
