Reggae Roast Sound System Launch Party

Reggae Roast Soundsystem Launch

Reggae Roast Sound System Launch Party

After many years of dreaming and months of planning and building, it’s with great joy and excitement that Reggae Roast can announce the launch of their brand new, custom built soundsystem. With a cutting edge design, the Reggae Roast soundsystem is the only one of its kind in existence – it’s unique look, high fidelity audio and astronomical power means the RSSS is set to make huge waves in the UK bass music scene, as well as at festivals and beyond.

To celebrate the launch, the RR team is pulling out all the stops, having put together an all-day-festival style event by the banks of the River Lea on Cody Dock. This amazing location has panoramic views overlooking London’s East End, and makes the perfect setting for an authentic outdoor reggae lawn style party just like the ones held over in Jamaica.

Cody Dock has a particularly special connection to the occasion, as this is also where the RRSS was born, having been designed and built by one of it’s residents, Al Cree, who lives and works from his residential barge.

Proceedings for the day’s celebrations will kick off at midday and RR will be providing plenty of refreshments on site; with a BBQ, freshly made pizza stall and a fully stocked bar. The cocktails will be flowing courtesy of our long time friends and associates at Wray and Nephews, who will be bringing their authentic Caribbean taste to East London. There will be a chill out area, boat bar and giant marquee to provide shade for that much-needed break from the sun or in the unlikely event of rain.

Performing on the day will of course be Reggae Roast showcasing the label and demonstrating why they are considered to be the leading light of new wave of British reggae. There will be a selection of their finest associated artists including DJ Vadim, Brother Culture, Adam Prescott, Vibration Lab, Louis Slipperz, Ramon Judah, Leo Samson and Dark Angel.

Add to that a LIVE set from YT longside Mr Williamz backed by the Innerheart Band and this is guaranteed to be the UK reggae event of the year.

This one-off event has a capacity of 500 people and is walk up only (no advance tickets) so we ask that people arrive early to avoid disappointment. This one-off event has a capacity of 500 people and is walk up only (no advance tickets) so we ask that people arrive early to avoid disappointment.
