Simmer Down Festival 2015 Birmingham
Simmer Down Festival returns to the beautiful surroundings of Handsworth Park. Now into its sixth year, this free open air event has become one of the growing music and arts festivals in the UK, celebrating Birmingham’s rich cultural diversity with fun for all the family.
There will be a wide range of live performances and arts participation activities taking place across several stages and marquees. In addition there are increasing number of fun activities for all the family including arts and education workshops, face paintings, small rides, a community cricket match, as well as, food stalls offering a diverse range of cuisine from all reflecting Birmingham’s culinary offer.
Artists performing are Maxi Priest, Michael Prophet, Rod Taylor, Earl Sixteen and Surj Sahota. With performances from local artists like D’Aggro, Gambimi, Vital, Dere Marie, Beenice, Iesher, Break Mission.
