UK Sting
STING is one the biggest reggae stage shows in the world, with an average yearly attendance of over 20,000 and takes place annually of Boxing Day in Kingston, Jamaica. It brings together the year's most popular artists with reggae dancehall legends for a show that is often talked about for the entire year, leading up to the next event!!
Over the year's Sting has produced many highlights and historic moments in the careers of international stars such Beenie Man, Shabba Ranks, Supercat and Sizzla, and helped establish many of these artists into the lucrative worldwide Reggae industry.
The Sting DVD (formerly Video) is one the most eagerly awaited reggae releases of the year, and regularly sells substantial amount of units around the globe, due to the events huge following.
Sting also attracts many stars from different genres of music, and over the years has had US Platinum artists on the bill including LL Cool J, Ludacris, Rihanna and DMX.
Sting continues to go from strength to strength, and will grow in size and presence over the next few years, as it continues its aim to be the world’s biggest reggae stage show.
Since 2004 UK STING has been in existence, using the same premise taken in Jamaica, by bringing together the UK's number 1 reggae artists under one roof. UK STING has grown year to year, with last year's event held at the world famous Stratford Rex, bringing in a crowd of over 2000 attendees through the gate. This year's event plans to be the biggest show yet, with the cream of UK Reggae talent alongside top RNB, Funky House and Grime artists.
We have also established a
Dance competition entitled 'Fling Foot' which will be running in the months leading up to the event, with the final taking place on the night. This will prove to be the most anticipated Reggae events in the UK in recent history!!
