Esther Furlonge Clarke established Universal Connection 9 years ago inspired by the vibrancy and incredible energy of Soca and Calypso music. Esther is a qualified and experienced Soca Aerobic Teacher, workshop / event coordinator and event host. Esther is police checked and works in a range of setting including:

Soca Aerobics
Soca is a lively form of Caribbean Dance. It is fun and suitable for all age ranges and can be adapted to all physical ability levels. You do not have to be familiar with Caribbean Dance and Music to enjoy Soca Aerobics; in fact it is a great introduction to Caribbean Culture. Benefits of Soca Aerobics include:

• Strengthens muscles and increases cardiovascular fitness

Workshops

Universal Connection organises Soca Aerobic fitness and dance sessions and workshops. We use this Caribbean dancing tradition to energize our sessions, it's a great way to have fun and keep fit at the same time.

We currently run a full weekly programme of classes in and around Greater Manchester, with a range of participants, from beginners to experts, young and old. We can offer one off workshop or an ongoing programme in a very wide range of settings.

Shows

We organize and appear in live performances on location, giving audiences a chance to experience this energetic art form at first hand. Our dancers wear authentic and colorful costumes and perform energetically and expressively to lively music.

We are based in Manchester, but travel across the country presenting shows for many different audiences getting a great reaction from all our audiences, whether they are familiar or not with Caribbean Music.

Events Facilitator

Universal Connection facilitates a range of community events. This includes organizing Manchester's Peace Week's high profile launch event for the last three years. The Shows displays the communities best talent and is an energetic expression of artist's ability. Universal Connections also provides Cultural activities such as African dance, drumming, children's block Caribbean dance classes which leads onto performances - educating, enhancing their achievement... We also allow artists to portray and present their art form in a range of formats – The It Factor an Inspirational and Talented show case which was put together for the Kath Locke Centre celebrating their 10 years anniversary. 2007

Partnership

Working together with other arts and creative organizations to deliver agreed projects such as Time Out for woman to fall in line with International Woman's Week.

Health and Well being after school sessions - Claremont Primary School, Manchester City Council. These sessions included physical work and an opportunity for the children to taste beneficial fruits that are good for us.
