Victoria & Albert Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum marks Black History Month in October of each year with an extensive programme of events, talks and workshops celebrating black heritage.

Every year there are always visitors who say they never knew the museum covered black heritage work or that we even have a collection of related objects, over 3000 in fact related to Africa and the Diaspora. Black heritage programmes, events, activities and displays and exhibitions have happened at the V&A now for over 10 years!
