Getting Married in Jamaica

The information below is a basic guide to what you need and who to contact for getting married in Jamaica.
Jamaica Marriage License Laws 
Participants must reside on Jamaica for 24 hours before the ceremony.

A Roman Catholic wedding on Jamaica has additional requirements

If you are staying at a resort, consult with the manager to help you make arrangements to secure your marriage license

Both parties must have a return ticket
Identification required for Jamaica Marriage License

Proof of citizenship from resident country is required such as valid passport or birth certificate and photo driver’s license

If either party has been divorced, the original divorce decree or a certified copy must be presented.

All documents must be in English, if not, they must be translated and notarized
