Pomedy 2012 Yasus Afari

Yasus Afari is excited about performing again in Britain.

"There's an historical link between the two countries. England has played a pivotal role in Jamaican history but Jamaicans have also taught the British people a lot," he said.

The Pomedy series started at Yasus' alma mater, St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS), in his home parish of St. Elizabeth, affectionately called St Bess. The Pomedy Show was again staged at STETHS in June of this year as the signature event of the school's Golden anniversary celebrations. This very successful staging of The Pomedy Show featured Ity and Fancy Cat, Yasus Afari and Joan Andrea Hutchinson among others. The proceeds of both events benefited STETHS in the form of computers, printers ad cash donations.
