YolanDa Brown is considered by many to be one of a kind and is as passionate re-interpreting a current chart-topper, as she is reprising a Jazz standard or launching into an original composition.

YolanDa is currently working on her debut album which is penciled for shipping late 2009.

She has released two acclaimed EP's, entitled 'Finding My Voice' and 'A Step Closer' as well as a DVD of her sold out debut concert filmed at the Mermaid Theatre London in July 2007. Late 2008, she toured the UK, opening for The Temptations. This culminated in her being invited to perform in the line-up as the “6th Tempt” featuring on the encore number of their last show and sharing the final bow.

All YolanDa's musical projects have been met with rave reviews from the media and loving support from her ever growing fan base. With an unbroken series of sold out concerts, the MOBO Award for “Best Jazz” and a UMA nomination to her credit in 2008; YolanDa Brown's 2009 diary began with several highlights. These include guest appearances at events held at the House of Commons, The Indigo O2 and the Broadway Theatre London, to mark the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. She has also collaborated with various artists; from- Alexander O’Neil, Mica Paris, Sway, Omar, Bashy, Soweto Kinch, Sonny Bradshaw to Terri Walker, to name but a few.

YolanDa, who was the first female saxophonist to be nominated for a MOBO, said: "I am so thrilled to have won Best Jazz category at the MOBO Awards and beennominated Best Jazz at the Urban Music Awards 2008! It has been an amazing year and this is just the beginning of the journey."
