Cornell Campbell is considered one of the finest voices to have emerged from reggae’s golden years in the 1970s, his unique falsetto vocals making him instantly recognisable, winning fans worldwide and sustaining a career spanning over 40 albums.

Forming nearly 15 years ago, and comprising up to as many members, Soothsayers is a ‘musical collective’ of London-based artists blending Nigerian, South African and Caribbean styles into their own bass-heavy, groove-inspired afrobeat fusions, jamming with reggae veterans including Johnny Clarke and Michael Prophet.

Together they have created the sensational new album Nothing Can Stop Us, and will be making their debut at The Drum on Fri 21 Feb at 9pm for an unforgettable night of sweet reggae music, smooth vocals and deep, dubby rhythms. Joining them will be Birmingham’s finest DJ’s and long-time fans, Tony Roots and Little Richie, with sets guaranteed to get your dancing!
