Dutchman, Pieter Blower introduces sugar cane to Barbados

1816

‘Bussa’ revolution, the most important rebellion in Barbados.

1834

When slavery was finally abolished.

1954

1 Feb 1954 Grantley Herbert Adams becomes the first Premier of Barbados.

Barbados becomes independent.
