Morgan Heritage to Headline Mighty Crown’s Yokohama Reggae SAI Music Festival in Japan
Morgan Heritage is riding high with their Lover’s Rock smash “Put It On Me,” capturing the attention of scores of Reggae music fans and the media alike. Without question, the Shane C. Brown-produced song for Juke Boxx Productions, will continue rocking the hearts and ears of listeners. The red-hot single, combined with their wildly successful “IJAM Reggae American” tour, has solidfied Morgan Heritage as a force to be reckoned with this Summer. As if things couldn’t get hotter, the “Royal Family of Reggae” Morgan Heritage is headed to rock the famed Yokohama Reggae SAI ‘One Link’ music festival, which is produced by the internationally acclaimed Mighty Crown sound system.
Billed as a headlining guest act, Morgan Heritage is slated to grace the main stage at the historic Yokohama Reggae SAI ‘One Link’ — which will go down on September 7, 2014 in Kawasaki, Japan at Higashi Ogijima Higashi Park. The group will surely sing their latest hit “Put It On Me” and belt out a host of favorites from their monstrous catalogue. The buzz surrounding Morgan Heritage’s appearance is incredible. Japanese Reggae fans have been anticipating the arrival of the “Royal Family of Reggae” for months. In addition to having a huge Japanese fanbase and loads of classic Reggae music, Morgan Heritage dropped the album “Morgan Heritage Perfect Best Songs” (selected and mixed by Mighty Crown) in Japan earlier this summer, which drove Japanese Reggae fans into a frenzy.
Morgan Heritage is thrilled to be a part of Yokohama Reggae SAI. The extremely talented Christopher Ellis, son of the late Alton Ellis, will also take to the stage at Yokohama Reggae SAI, along with leading Japanese Reggae acts, including Mighty Crown, Fire Ball, Papa B, Anarchy, Apollo, J-Rexxx, Kenty Gross, Jumbo Maatch and many others. Over the years, the Jamaican Reggae acts billed for the mega show reads like a “Who’s Who” of Reggae. Past festival performances by Shabba (after a 20 year absence from Japan), Beenie Man, TOK, Barrington Levy, Cocoa Tea, Mr. Vegas, Jah Cure, Half Pint, Wayne Wonder, Ninja Man, Tony Matterhorn, Daville and many more have afforded Japanese fans with quite an authentic Reggae music experience.
