Travelling to Aruba? Free Connecting Flights to Aruba with Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook is offering sun seekers from London free transfer flights to Amsterdam Schiphol to board connecting flights to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba from May 1, 2007.

The travel operator, which has added the destination to its new Signature Caribbean brochure for the first time, will offer year-round getaways to the island’s white sands and turquoise seas with KLM flights from London Heathrow via Amsterdam. But visitors from central London will be able to fly from London City Airport to the Dutch capital for free in order to catch one of four flights a week to Aruba.

Six quality hotels will be available in a mix of all inclusive and room only packages and prices start from £999 per person including all flights (see example package below). Luxury high-rise hotels on the Palm beach strip include the Occidental Grand and newly re-launched Westin Aruba Resort, which has recently undergone a £12million refurbishment. Romantic Bucuti Beach, on the award-winning and intimate Eagle Beach, provides a perfect low-rise option.

Example package: Thomas Cook Signature offers 7 nights all-inclusive at the three star Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort, Aruba, from £999 per adult based on two sharing. Price includes flights with KLM from Heathrow, departing between 1 May and 30 June 2007.

Aruba’s varied geography boasts white sandy beaches along its idyllic south coast, rugged cliffs and black pebbles in its tempestuous north and a striking red, arid interior of rock formations and cacti. Just 15 miles from South America, Aruba offers year round sun and cooling trade winds, making it one of the most temperate of the Caribbean islands.
