The 2nd Barbados Fashion Week 2006
On the night will be the crème de la crème of fashion, media industry and invited celebrity guests. An exciting explosion of Colour, Style, Ingenuity, Passion and most of all, fine Craftsmanship. Following the huge success of the inaugural Barbados Fashion week 2005 the Barbados Fashion Week is back bigger and better than ever for 2006.
Last year saw the launch of the 1st Annual Barbados Fashion Week, as well as the first annual Barbados Fashion Awards held by Invincible Media. Riki De Jude won the Invincible Rising Star Award out of 3 awards that were handed out by Invincible Magazine, Radio & TV , C.E.O (Jordan Kensington).
The 2006 event is set for March 23rd-26th 2006 and the focus will once again be on the spectacular runway at the prestigious Sherbourne Conference Centre where top local, regional and international designers will showcase their Spring/Summer Collections to an enthusiastic audience of press, buyers, local fashionistas and visitors to the island. A combination of top male and female models, celebrity guests, and special invitees will all converge to make this event a potpourri of Creativity, Style and Sizzling Fashion, mixed with the spices only our region can provide.
March 2006 is also fashion month in Barbados. The activities begin March 1st-3rd with the BFW Fashion Forum, (3 days of workshops is slated for March 17th (parade of fashion through the years), culminating in the 3 days of runway shows for March 24th-26th.
