Be inspired ! Afro Hair & Beauty Live love to introduce revolutionary style ideas and this year we’ve scouted out the freshest and most talked about movers and shakers in the hair and beauty industry to make the show’s line-up more exciting than ever!

Taking place at the Business Design Centre for the third year running, for two days the venue will be over-flowing with hundreds of exhibitors and top-selling name brands that will be showcasing and unveiling the latest haircare ranges, wet products, electricals, accessories and much more. Visitors will get to enjoy and benefit first-hand an array of live demos, catwalk shows and amazing one-off show discounts that are exclusive only to Afro Hair & Beauty Live.

Competition craze
As always, the hair competitions are a main attraction that never fails to wow the crowd. Back by popular demand, the awe inspiring Sensationnel Icon is a visual treat that sees the most creative and esteemed names in the business put their skills to the ultimate test. And with three trophies up for grabs – Braid Impact, Weave Genius and Avant Garde – the stakes are always high! The action packed Battle of the Barbers has been given a new twist whereby the winner takes all. Fourteen barbers from across the UK will go head-to-head on stage to shave, fade and do what they do best for a £2000 prize courtesy of WAHL.

Making its debut at Afro Hair & Beauty Live, Hair by Sleek will be presenting three innovative weave competitions: Colour me Beautiful, Fantasy Dream Weave and Hollywood Trends, where the winner will be decided by the audience. Back to nature

Already creating a viral buzz on FaceBook, Twitter and YouTube, the key players and most recognisable names in the natural haircare world will be on stage presenting and demonstrating the wonders of their ranges and sharing their expert knowledge. Placed in the line up is natural hair guru Felicia Leatherwood, product pioneer Jane Carter and popular US brands Taliah Waajid, Curls from California, Miss Jessie’s, Mixed Chicks and Design Essentials.

Showstoppers
Performing on Sunday only, 70 students from Gladesmore Community School will be singing their hit single Everybody Dreams for the first time live on the Afro Hair & Beauty stage. Coined the ‘Song for Tottenham’, the Gladesmore Community School Council have written an uplifting song that puts a positive spin on their area after the riots. It has created a viral buzz and generated interest from local celebrities right through to Number 10!

Trend alert
The Afro Nail & Beauty Bar offers a tranquil oasis that allows visitors to rest and relax while having a beauty treatment. There are a number of spa-like fixes to choose from such as Indian head massages, manicures, eyebrow threading, waxing and eyelash extensions all starting from an affordable £5. Alternatively visitors can take advantage of a free matching foundation consultation and colour analysis from the make-up pros who will be on hand to give tips and tricks on how to revamp and upgrade make-up looks.

For even more inspiration the fashion catwalk shows hosted by Afro Chic – Fashion Boutique, will have models sporting on-trend tribal prints from the hottest African designers from the UK, France and Africa.

Courtesy of Dominican Hair Republic Salon, for the first time ever at Afro Hair & Beauty Live professional salon will be up and running where visitors can experience the gorgeous results of Dominican Blowout — a 100 per cent organic and long-lasting straightening system.
