2006 was the 29th year of the Panorama, ‘Champions of Steel’ competition, held Saturaday 26th August, the night before Notting Hill Carnival. The event is held at Horniman’s Pleasance, Kensal Road.
Once again, Panorama was a great success, showcasing the wealth of talent. There was a huge turnout, everybody young and old enjoyed the atmoshphere despite occassional rain. The 9 steel bands were peforming at their best, and entertained the crowd with their well practiced calypso and soca performances.
